Workplace bullying is a serious issue that involves the use of intimidation to dominate another individual. It often includes threats, coercion, and aggressive behavior. While similar to harassment, bullying usually entails a pattern of cyclical interactions, often driven by the bully's desire to achieve a specific goal.

Harassment, on the other hand, involves unwanted behavior but is generally milder and lacks the dominance and persuasion elements found in bullying. Harassment can create an inappropriate atmosphere but may not have specific aims like those in bullying cases.

A hostile work environment is a result of harassment that makes it difficult for employees to perform their duties. It encompasses unwelcome conduct or comments based on various protected characteristics, such as race, religion, or age. Hostile environments can be created by coworkers, supervisors, clients, vendors, or others with significant contact with employees.
