Travel in Mexico Update
I will be keeping you updated on current events as I am made aware.
I talk about crossing at the crossing into Laredo, Tx. Keep up to date with recent happenings: HERE. Things have rapidly changed since mid March, 2022.
It's important to keep up to date with any border town, as things can change rapidly. I will share updates as I hear them. I loved my experience in Nuevo Laredo and most buses travel from Texas to Mexico through this border. I am scrambling to find alternative routes that include El Paso, Texas to Cuidad Juarez; and San Diego, CA to Tijuana. Flights within Mexico are greatly reduced in price from these border towns, verses flying from the US cities listed. Transport from San Diego to Tijuana includes the Cross Border Express. Transport from El Paso to Cuidad Juarez includes a Shuttle.
Also, I am adding the cost of living database for world travelers and wanted to share it HERE as well.
People have multiple questions about land and air crossings. Stay up to date with CDC requirements for vaccinations, testing and masks HERE for the US.
Mexico does not have a requirement for entry to be vaccinated, nor a test. They do however have mask mandates/preferences in most states. This will vary amongst region. Also, there are places that reportedly were checking vaccination to enter into events; including Jalisco state where Puerto Vallarta is and Riviera Nayarit, and the state of Tlaxcala. CNN keeps us up to date with some insight on COVID restrictions HERE.
Before any travel, stay up to date with current happenings. The purpose of the article is educational and not advice. Just like anywhere, it's important to be aware of current events, & take reasonable precautions.
